Las Chicas del Barrio
LAS CHICAS DEL BARRIO ('The neighborhood girls & boys’) is a Latin sextet from Amsterdam. After 10 years of playing together and 3 inspiring music trips to Cuba, Las Chicas del Barrio have lost their hearts to the (modern) version of Cuban salsa. And these vibes can be heard more and more in their music. The warm, jazzy sounds of the female singers, accompanied by piano, bass, saxophone and percussion, invite you to dance, while the trained listener will certainly not be bored by the recognizable tunes, interspersed with surprising variations and original 'efectos'.
During the Tantric Joy Festival at Friday evening this great band will play just before the Tantric Temples will open their doors exclusively for the festival public. We are looking forward to their Cuban Latin danceparty.
