Steve Kokker

STEVE (he/him) has made various bodywork modalities, conscious touch and the Way of Tea the guiding lights of his life for the past 25 years. His practice of meditative tea ceremonies in Asia since 2010 have also sharpened a sensitivity to the body’s subtle details. Above all, he wishes to provide a space for people to open into and discover themselves in. Steve was born in Montreal but has been living in his ancestral homeland of Estonia for many years. In Tallinn, he runs a specialised teashop, Chado, and has his own bodywork studio there.

1. CONSCIOUS TOUCH - Before we plunge into advanced tantric practices, let's take a gentle but deep dive into the most basic and primal element of touch. Let respectful, non-goal-oriented conscious touch become the foundation upon which all other interactions stand. In this mostly experiential workshop (35% talk/65% practice), we will redefine the definition of what a touch can be, refine your sensitivity to self and other and level up on deep, conscious touch. Keywords: Fixed pairs, Optional nudity, touch, lecture.

2. MEDITATIVE TEA CEREMONY - A mostly wordless, shared communal experience of gathering in a sacred place and in communication at once with one’s deeper Self as well as with a powerful but non-psychedelic plant medicine and teacher plant: tea. Yes, tea. In this meditative space we will have an opportunity of grounding, of integrating, of Being without having to Do, to sink into being served, and to make friends with the ocean of silence and peace at our core. Keywords: Anyone, beginner, meditative, receiving, silence.

3. LINGAM HEALING - There are many aspects of the energetic masculine and of the lingam itself which are longing for healing. Often this longing is experienced alone, in the shadows of a silenced heart; society does not openly welcome space for this. Healing happens mainly through unconditional witnessing and loving, accepting touch. Here, we explore how to use our hands as instruments of acknowledgement and acceptance, bringing light to areas of the self that we fear are dark. Keywords: fixedpairs, nudity.

4. SELF REGULATION - Everyday we navigate through a glorious labyrinth of potential triggers, and we’re asked to respond adequately to a world which stubbornly refuses to do what we (think we) want. The ability to self-regulate is integral to the maintenance of our sense of harmony and to our positive contribution to the world in which we live. Often, we’re better at co-regulating (with the help of others) than we are at doing it ourselves. Here, we’ll explore why we forget what we know is best for us and how to empower ourselves through self knowledge. Lecture format but with interactive exercises. Keywords: Anyone, beginner, lecture.

PRIVATE SESSIONS (1½h)

  • Dan Tien release - deep stomach massage for releasing layers of emotional blockages and to free up the breath and emotional self expression

  • ‘Butt Therapy’ - a cute term to describe an opening and unlocking of the hip/buttock region (external only!)

  • Lingam Healing for the Wounded Masculine - ‘lingam’ here refers to one’s inner sense of maleness; together we step into a healing arena where issues around sexuality, performance, body shame, intimacy, etc can be nourished.
